Reclaim Your Time, Reignite Your Passion, And Get Paid What You Deserve!

One day, in June of 1995, I experienced a sudden and shocking health crisis. This was to begin a new journey - a new trajectory for my life and work. A journey that would lead me down a path I was always meant to be on, where I would change the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.

And instead of struggling in my career, I would thrive - making far more money, working fewer hours and helping my clients to experience profound and inspiring results with their health.

Listen – if you feel like your career is going nowhere…

If you feel overworked and underpaid…

If you’re frustrated with the quality of care you’re able to provide within our constricted healthcare system, and you feel like you have so much more to give…

Or if you’re tired of running the hamster wheel of neverending shifts, missing holidays, weekends and those precious moments with your family…

Then you’re right where I was on the day everything changed for me.

And THIS could very well be the day that changes everything for YOU…

Because you landed on this page for a reason

And as you keep reading, you’ll discover exactly how I went from feeling stuck and stagnant at my high stress critical care nurse job – sacrificing my own health and trying to serve my patients, while I barely scraped by…

To creating a business that allows me to offer my clients more than just a band-aid solution while getting paid what I deserve – because I’m truly valued by the people whose lives I help to change.

My story has a happy ending, and yours can too… and hopefully, yours doesn’t have to start out as painfully as mine did…

The Day That Changed Everything

I don’t remember waking up that day… I just remember suddenly being awake, my shoulders and hands feeling like they were on fire.

Completely out of the blue, every cell in my body was burning. I couldn’t even grip my mug of tea as I tried to wrap my mind around what was happening.

The pain was unbelievable – my joints completely seized with inflammation, my skin feverishly hot to the touch.

Every movement was torture, making even the simplest task a test of endurance. I could tell my kids were worried and scared… and so was I, but I tried to hide just how bad it really was.

The time between waking up and getting myself to my doctor’s office was a blur of fear and agony…

but clearly, I remember what came next.

Sitting in my doctor’s office, the sterile smell of the room and the harsh, cold lighting, seemed to amplify the gravity of what I was about to hear.

"I'm afraid you have Rheumatoid Arthritis," the doctor said, her voice echoing in my ears.

I thought of my grandfather, whose life was cut short by the same disease I was now facing. The realization was jarring.

In one moment, my dreams of pursuing a vibrant career, continuing my passions, and providing care for my family all came to a crashing halt.

The room seemed to spin, and I could barely hear the doctor as she handed me some prescriptions and started to usher me towards the exit…

"Come back when you get worse," she added, almost as an afterthought.

It felt like a life sentence.

Diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune condition, I was told to expect to live the rest of my life shackled to one intense prescription after another.

But that wasn’t the path I had envisioned for myself…

and it wasn’t the path that I chose.

As I left her office, I thought to myself, "There has to be another way."

Despite my background in Western medicine, I knew I needed to venture beyond its familiar confines.

That’s when I started down a new road, one I never could have imagined…

Integration: The True Path To Healing

Late at night, the soft hum of my dial-up modem was my only companion as I read up on the vast world of natural remedies.

It was in one such online session that I discovered a research paper linking yoga and autoimmunity.

Intrigued, I found a yoga class the very next day.

Stretching into unfamiliar poses, I listened closely as the instructor introduced us to Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga from ancient India.

Very quickly, I realized how narrow my view of medicine had been my whole life.

The more I researched, the more I realized that the approach I took to caring for my clients was just one piece of the puzzle.

The more I learned, the more I saw the writing on the wall – that our experiences and emotions are deeply intertwined with our health.

That foods can provide way more than just nutrition, they can also be the most effective medicines available…

And the many-layered systems of the body all work together in sync to support one another in health and sickness.

I embraced this philosophy wholeheartedly, and it changed my life.

My journey led me deep into yoga, meditation, Ayurvedic medicine, Psychotherapy, and Psychedelic Medicine as I was determined to heal myself from within.

Six months later, I could hardly believe it – my rheumatoid arthritis was in remission, and my life had a new purpose.

Although I felt like I had gotten a second chance at life, the nurse in me needed to know…

1

Why did this unconventional approach work?

2

And more importantly, why hadn’t my doctor known about it?

The more I learned, the more it all started to click.

My research into the Ayurvedic framework of medicine revealed the connection between emotional trauma and autoimmune disease.

All of a sudden, I saw how Western medicine was limited in its ability to look beyond the physical symptoms and address the root causes of illness.

This realization led me to trauma therapy: to address deep, unresolved emotional injuries that had manifested in physical symptoms.

It was through this emotional healing process that I found the final piece of the puzzle that sent my RA into permanent remission.

Although I didn’t realize it at the time, I had been walking on the path of Integrative Medicine.

My personal victory reawakened the healer in me and reignited my burning desire to help others escape from suffering and experience vibrant health, like I had.

But it felt like I was only just scratching the surface of what “Healing” really meant…

I knew that to never experience that kind of pain again, I needed to learn everything I could about the interconnected systems of the physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies.

So I became a nurse practitioner, an expert in integrative medicine, a doctor of sexology, and a psychotherapist. I am now board-certified in Functional Medicine, hold advanced certifications in Ayurvedic medicine, and am the founder and medical director of the Academy for Integrative Medicine Health Coach Certification Program - all in the quest to understand and combat disease in innovative ways.

Which brought me to where I am now…

Finally, I can sleep a full night knowing I don’t have to rush out to my next shift.

I feel fully able to relax, on the clock and off, no longer anticipating the jolt of my beeper going off at all hours of the day.

For the first time in my career, I feel able to plan family vacations, take on that home remodeling project, and cheer my kids on at every game.

Most importantly though, my health has returned – allowing me to do what I love without worry…

And giving me the ability to serve my clients in alignment with my value system…

A system that has proven effective in treating the root causes rather than just masking symptoms with prescriptions.

The care I’ve been able to provide has changed my life, as well as the lives of my clients –

And I know that there are so many more people out there who would benefit from providing or receiving healthcare in this way…

That’s why I founded…
